TEDx Blumenau: Ideas worth spreading

This Sunday, April 30, Blumenau has hosted the 10th TEDxBlumenau event. It’s the local edition of a global initiative that gathers people to inspire action.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

The whole world was watching for the inauguration of the 45th president of the United States: Donald J. Trump. Because the Dutch realize it’s better for them to get along, they decided to introduce their tiny country to him, in a way that will probably appeal to him the most.
