Valentine’s Day is a time when people show feelings of love, affection and friendship. It is celebrated in many countries, and in most of them falls on February 14 each year. Traditionally people send a valentine (=special card) to someone they love, often without saying who the card is from. They may also send flowers, especially red roses, or other presents as a sign of love.
